About
two years ago, some friends and I formed a corporation and bought
89 acres for a business venture. There was a considerable
amount of woodland and we looked for a buyer to remove the timber.
After signing a contract and making the arrangements ourselves,
we thought everything was a done deal. The loggers were to
pay for the trees on shares as they received a payment when they
took them to the sawmill.
Now, nearly two years later, there are still trees laying down that
were cut and now rotting. The loggers did not remove all the
wood that they cut!
I wish I had known about Forest Management Services, Inc. Maybe
I wouldn't still be making phone calls that are not returned and
asking myself, "How and when will this ever end?" There were
saw logs as well as good veneer trees rotting. I know this
means money has gone down the drain. I can't help but feel
frustrated that a valuable commodity has been sacrificed.
In my business, if I tell a customer I will work on their car, then
put them off or do not return their calls, I wouldn't have customers.
I did not know about Forest Management Services, Inc. two years
ago. I wish I had known there was someone who could work with
landowners and timber buyers ensure that both parties get a fair
deal.
